Pray
This incredible prayer movement was started on Mount Ambaricho, the tallest mountain in southern Ethiopia where a renowned witch doctor, Abba Sarecho, whose family was worshipped there for over 700 years, became a Christian. Tens of thousands of people once gathered every year to worship the witch doctor and his family line. Amazingly, after the continued pursuit of faithful Christians through prayer and the power of the gospel, the 22nd of the Abba Sarecho dynasty became a follower of Jesus Christ. The very place where he was worshipped became the place of this prayer and missionary sending movement. Today, by God’s grace, over 100,000 Christians gather every January 19th on the top of this mountain to pray for world evangelization.
